Uber Trekkie Nerd Tony Alleyne has turned his studio apartment, north of London, into a convincing replica of the set of Star Trek: Voyager, creating a bachelor pad where he’ll probably never, ever get laid. He has gadgets like voice-activated LED lighting throughout, hi-tech HVAC systems and authentic sound effects. He even has plans to install Star Trek-style sliding doors. He’s started his own renovation biz, 24th Century Design, doing similar projects for clients. Tony’s been living in his Nerd Lair for ten years and feels it’s time for a change so he’s selling it on eBay starting at £500 000, a lot for an apartment with no bedroom. At least now he can finally afford that mail order bride.
