A famous pop star in Serbia and surrounding countries, Natasa Bekvalac burst onto the Balkan music scene in 2001 with her debut album Ne Brini (Don’t worry)…… Sorry, that last part cracks me up… I hear the Balkan music scene is very difficult break into….. Seriously….. Stop laughing.

Stop laughing? Why? The idea that Balkans has a music scene is funny to you is well worth laughing at. I was in that part of the world serving with UNPROFOR in the 1990’s and acquired a taste for the local turbo-folk and have found most western music a bit limp ever since.
It is said all countries mistakenly think they matter to the rest of the world but only America thinks it is the world. Are you American by any chance? Just curious.
