Clip-on iPad Speaker Boost
Most people consider the iPad’s rear-facing speakers to be it’s only real design flaw, causing the overall listening experience to be a little lackluster. Created as a simple solution to this problem, The Boast mimics the act of cupping your hand to reflect sound in a positive direction. Currently the idea is on Kickstarter, the tool uses magnets to clip onto the iPad and provides a boost of about eight decibels.
The Boast is made of injection-molded polypropylene homopoly plastic and is nearly indestructible. If everything works out on Kickstarter, The Boast will ship in October 2012. Designer Nick Wilson is offering a “pay as you wish” pledge until the minimum number of backers is reached, and then a minimum pledge of $15 will be required.
The Boast will be available in black or white.
